Take the Point Cook Road/Laverton exit off the great new Geelong Rd and follow the Point Cook Rd all the way to the RAAF Williams entrance. (Follow signs to the RAAF Museum). Once on the base, follow the main road all the way around to the southern tarmac – as far as the road goes – and there we are.
Currently there are security formalities to undertake at the main entrance and this comprises simply providing photographic evidence (drivers licence for example) of who you are and being issued with a visitors pass. Take care to comply with traffic signage including speed limits posted on the base, and please do not try to enter well signed restricted areas including beyond the airfield fencing and inside aircraft hangars.
It is often wise to phone us ahead of a planned visit as on occasions the front desk may not be manned due to training or charter duties required of staff. The front desk is always manned on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8.30am till 5pm.
A picnic table and well maintained grassed area is at your disposal if you’d like to bring a packed lunch and just sit and watch the airside activities.
